GB/T 1800.2-2020 Geometrical product specifications(GPS)—ISO code system for tolerances on linear sizes—Part 2:Tables of standard tolerance classes and limit deviations for holes and shafts
Basic Information
Scope
This part of GB/T 1800 specifies the limit deviation values of the common tolerance zone codes for holes and shafts, which are calculated according to the standard tolerance and basic deviation values table in GB/T 1800.1. It includes the upper limit deviation ES of holes and shafts, and the lower limit deviation EI of holes and shafts (see Figures 1 and 2).
Note: In the limit deviation value table, except for the tolerance zone codes JS and js that are symmetrical to the zero line, the value of the upper limit deviation ES or es is above the value of the lower limit deviation EI or ei.
This part establishes the ISO code system for linear dimensional tolerances, which applies to the following types of dimensional elements:
a) Cylindrical surfaces;
b) Two relatively parallel surfaces.
To simplify and considering the importance of cylindrical workpieces with circular cross-sections, only these elements are explicitly specified. However, for a better understanding, the tolerances and deviations given in this part also apply to workpieces with non-circular cross-sections.
In particular, the terms "hole" or "shaft" are usually used to represent cylindrical surface type elements (such as the tolerance marking of hole or shaft diameter), and for simplicity, these terms are also used for two relatively parallel surface type elements (such as the tolerance marking of key thickness or groove width).
