GB/T 21336.1-2023 Geographic information—Data quality—Part 1:General requirements

Scope

This document establishes principles for describing the quality of geographic data. This document: -- defines a comprehensive system for describing the components of data quality; -- clarifies the process of defining the components of data quality in other specific fields; -- specifies the components and content structure of data quality measurement; -- provides a general procedure for evaluating the quality of geographic data; -- establishes principles for reporting data quality. This document also specifies a set of data quality metrics for evaluating and reporting data quality. This document does not address the minimum acceptable quality level of geographic data. Such information typically appears as a requirement in data product specifications, which can be defined according to ISO 19131. This document is applicable to data producers providing quality information, describing and evaluating the extent to which their data sets comply with product specifications, and to data users investigating whether the quality of specific geographic data meets their specific application requirements.
