Scope

This document describes the methods of measuring and calculating the efficiency and standby power of control devices for halogen tungsten lamps and LED light sources.
Note 1: This includes electromagnetic converters and electronic converters for halogen tungsten lamps, as well as electronic control devices for LED light sources.
Note 2: LED light sources include LED modules and LED lamps.
This document applies to control devices for DC power supplies below 1,000 V and/or AC power supplies below 1,000 V at 50 Hz.
For multi-purpose power supplies, only the lighting part is considered.
Note 3: This does not include the requirements for testing individual control devices during production.
This document does not apply to:
—— Control devices for integrated lamps (LED light sources);
—— Control device circuits with capacitors in series;
—— Controllable electromagnetic control devices.
