GB/T 9089.3-2023 Electrical installations for outdoor sites under heavy conditions—Part 3:General requirements for equipment and ancillaries

Scope

This document specifies the selection and application of electrical components, rotating motors, transformers, semiconductor converters, switchgear, cables, cable connectors, cable reels and their coiled cables, braking circuits and control devices, safety circuits and safety devices, as well as fire detection and protection systems and other electrical equipment and accessories under harsh outdoor conditions.
This document applies to the normal use and safe operation of electrical equipment and systems in open-pit mines, quarries, material storage yards, and similar locations, including mining/loading and primary processing machinery, secondary processing machinery, conveying systems, drainage and water supply systems, mobile railway systems, fixed railway systems (only for operation), electric trucks, power generation and distribution equipment, as well as control, monitoring, signaling, and communication systems.
