GB/T 9089.2-2008 Electrical installations for outdoor sites under heavy conditions—Part 2:General protection requirements
Basic Information
Scope
This part of GB/T 9089 specifies the requirements for electrical equipment and systems in harsh outdoor conditions, ensuring personal safety against direct and indirect contact with electricity during normal operation and fault conditions, as well as the selection of protective devices and systems. This part specifies the requirements for electrical facilities in harsh outdoor conditions (including open-pit mines, quarries, material storage yards, and similar locations), with a rated voltage not only for AC up to 1,000 V, but also applicable to all outdoor electrical facilities from 1,000 V to 252 kV. For devices with a voltage of less than 1,000 V, the requirements in GB/T 16895.21 may be followed, if applicable. Note: The working conditions of electrical facilities in harsh outdoor conditions are quite special. They operate in open areas and are responsible for heavy-load transportation and stacking tasks. The electrical facilities used in such situations have the following characteristics: — The equipment and systems often need to be relocated; — The working area is large and constantly expanding; — There are special environmental impacts. The scope of GB/T 9089.1 applies to this part.
