Scope

This document describes the test procedures, test conditions, and test methods for determining the main performance parameters and operating characteristics of induction heat treatment devices.
This document is applicable to induction heating devices with operating frequencies of low frequency, mains frequency, or medium frequency (up to 100 kHz), which are used for overall or local heat treatment of metal blanks or workpieces for subsequent hot forming (such as forging, extrusion, and rolling), and can also be used as a reference for induction heating devices used in heat treatment and other applications, as well as superconducting DC induction heat treatment devices.
