GB/T 5008.3-2023 Lead-acid starter batteries—Part 3:Kinds of products and specifications and dimensions and marking of terminals for heavy vehicles

Scope

This document specifies the model numbering and terminal polarity marking of lead-acid batteries (hereinafter referred to as batteries) used for starting heavy-duty vehicles, as well as the battery models and classification, and the dimensions of battery terminals.
This document applies to exhaust-type (wet-cell) batteries and valve-regulated (gas-recombination) batteries with a rated voltage of 12 V, which are used for starting, ignition, and lighting in various heavy-duty vehicles, tractors, and other internal combustion engines.
This document does not apply to batteries used for other purposes, such as batteries for starting heavy-duty vehicles of railway internal combustion engines.
