GB 21456-2024 Minimum allowable values of the energy efficiency and energy efficiency grades for household and similar kitchen appliances

Scope

This document specifies the energy efficiency grades and thermal efficiency calculation, technical requirements, and test methods for household and similar-use kitchen appliances.
This document applies to the following types of household and similar-use kitchen appliances with a rated voltage not exceeding 250 V AC:
a) Electric rice cookers heated by electric heating elements or electromagnetic induction, with a rated power not exceeding 2,200 W;
b) Electric pressure cookers with automatic control of working pressure, heated by electric heating elements or electromagnetic induction, with a rated power not exceeding 2,200 W, a rated capacity not exceeding 10 L, and a rated cooking pressure of 40 kPa to 140 kPa (gauge pressure);
c) Electric stewpots and electric saucepans with a rated power not exceeding 2,200 W;
d) Electric kettles that can pour water from the spout by holding the handle and tilting the kettle body, used solely for boiling water and heating it to the boiling point, without an automatic water refill function;
e) Induction cookers with one or more heating units, each with a rated power of 700 W to 3,500 W;
f) Microwave ovens with a maximum rated input power of 2,500 W, which use electromagnetic energy in the ISM frequency band of 2,450 MHz and heat food and items in the oven cavity with resistive heating elements, including combination microwave ovens.
Note: The ISM frequency band is an electromagnetic frequency range defined by the International Telecommunication Union (ITU) and adopted in the CISPR 11 standard developed by the International Special Committee on Radio Interference (CISPR).
This document does not apply to the following types of kitchen appliances:
—— Commercial induction cookers, power-frequency induction cookers, and concave cookers;
—— Commercial microwave ovens, industrial microwave ovens, and microwave ovens with range hoods.
