GB 24849-2017 Minimum allowable values of energy efficiency and energy efficiency grades for household and similar microwave ovens
Basic Information
Scope
This standard specifies the energy efficiency rating, energy efficiency limits, test methods, and inspection rules for microwave ovens used for household and similar purposes (hereinafter referred to as microwave ovens). This standard applies to microwave ovens with a maximum rated input power of 2,500 W or less, which use electromagnetic energy in the ISM frequency band of 2,450 MHz and heat items and food in the oven chamber with resistive heating elements. This standard does not apply to commercial microwave ovens, industrial microwave ovens, or microwave ovens with range hoods. Note: The ISM frequency band is an electromagnetic frequency range defined by the International Telecommunication Union (ITU) and adopted in the standard CISPR 11 developed by the International Special Committee on Radio Interference (CISPR).
