Scope

This document describes the phased array ultrasonic testing and result evaluation methods for bolt crack defects in amusement facilities.
This document is applicable to in-situ ultrasonic testing of steel bolts used in amusement facilities with an outer diameter of not less than 10 mm and not more than 100 mm, and a length of not more than 1,000 mm. The phased array ultrasonic testing of steel bolts and shafts (pins) used in amusement facilities, cableways, and other mechanical equipment shall be implemented in accordance with this document.
