GB/T 17466.21-2022 Boxes and enclosures for electrical accessories for household and similar fixed electrical installations—Part 21:Particular requirements for boxes and enclosures with provision for suspension means

Scope

This document specifies the installation boxes for suspension devices, and this part of GB/T 17466 stipulates the technical requirements for the marking, protection against electric shock, structural requirements, mechanical performance, and electrical performance of electrical accessory installation boxes and enclosures for fixed electrical devices for household and similar purposes.
This part applies to electrical accessory installation boxes, enclosures, or enclosure components (hereinafter collectively referred to as "installation boxes" and "enclosures") for fixed electrical devices for household and similar purposes used indoors or outdoors with a rated voltage not exceeding 1,000 V AC and 1,500 V DC.
Installation boxes and enclosures that comply with this part are suitable for use in environments with an ambient temperature not exceeding 40 °C, but with an average temperature not exceeding 35 °C within 24 hours, and a minimum ambient air temperature of -5 °C.
The scope of application of this part is the National Electrical Accessory Standardization Technical Committee (SAC/TC 67) and the National Low-Voltage Electrical Appliance Standardization Technical Committee (SAC/TC 189) for household circuit breakers and similar equipment (corresponding to IEC/SC 23E) electrical accessory installation boxes and enclosures.
This part can also be used as a reference document for other standardization technical committees and subcommittees.
Installation boxes and enclosures that become an integral part of electrical accessories and provide protection against external influences (such as mechanical impact, entry of solids or water) are suitable for the related standard requirements of these electrical accessories.
This part does not apply to:
— Ceiling lamp wiring boxes;
— Lighting support accessories;
— Installation boxes, enclosures, and enclosure components specifically designed for the GB/T 19215 cable tray and pipe
