Scope

This document:
—— Specifies a universal extensible data exchange format for representing face image data. One is a tagged binary data format based on ASN.1 extensible specifications, and the other is a text data format based on XSD (XML Schema Definition). Both formats can store the same information;
—— Provides examples of the corresponding face image data record content;
—— Proposes the minimum requirements, recommended methods, and best practices for obtaining data in typical application scenarios;
—— Describes the compliance testing methods, test assertions, and test processes for face data in the extensible format.
This document is applicable to biometric identification manufacturers for exchanging biometric identification data during storage, recording, and transmission. It is also suitable for compliance testing by detection institutions, end users, and biometric identification manufacturers.
