Scope

This document specifies the terms and definitions, model compilation methods, basic parameters, technical requirements, and test methods for single-hand-held chainsaws powered by lithium-ion batteries (hereinafter referred to as "single-hand saws"). It also covers third-party inspections, marking, user manuals, packaging, transportation, storage, and disposal.
This document applies to single-hand-held chainsaws powered by rechargeable lithium-ion battery packs (battery groups) with a nominal voltage not exceeding 75 V DC, a guide bar length not exceeding 300 mm, and a curb weight not exceeding 3.0 kg, for use in general environmental conditions.
This document does not apply to:
——Chainsaws that conform to the definitions of hand-held chainsaws in LY/T 3022—2018 and hand-held pruning chainsaws in LY/T 3169;
——Single-hand chainsaws powered by universal battery packs (battery groups) assembled by users themselves;
——Other single-hand chainsaws powered by non-lithium-ion batteries.
