GB/T 19726.2-2020 Machinery for forestry—Portable chain-saw safety requirements and testing— Part 2:Chain-saws for tree service

Scope

This part of GB/T 19726 specifies the safety requirements and test methods for portable pruning chainsaws (hereinafter referred to as pruning chainsaws) powered by internal combustion engines (see Figure 1). This part applies to operators who have received training and have read and understood the safety requirements in the user manual, and who use the correct personal protective equipment. The pruning chainsaws used for trimming tree crowns should be held with the right hand grasping the rear handle and the left hand grasping the front handle, excluding the saw chain and guide plate, and have a net mass of no more than 4.3 kg when the fuel tank is empty. This part describes methods to eliminate or reduce various hazards caused by the use of pruning chainsaws, and stipulates the requirements for safety operation information provided by manufacturers. This part lists all serious hazards associated with pruning chainsaws during normal use and reasonable, foreseeable misuse. Note: A list of serious hazards is provided in Appendix B. This part applies to pruning chainsaws produced after its implementation.
