GB/T 15558.1-2015 Buried polyethylene(PE)piping systems for the supply of gaseous fuels—Part 1:Pipes
Basic Information
Scope
This part of GB 15558 specifies the terms and definitions, materials, requirements, test methods, inspection rules, marking and packaging, transportation, and storage of PE gas pipes buried in the ground, which are made from PE compound materials by extrusion. The types of pipes specified in this part include: -- Single-layer solid-wall pipes; -- Pipes with a removable thermoplastic protective layer on the outer wall. This part applies to PE 80 and PE 100 compound materials for manufacturing PE gas pipes buried in the ground with a nominal outer diameter of 16 mm to 630 mm. The maximum operating pressure (MOP) of the pipes is determined based on the design stress and takes into account the impact of rapid crack propagation (RCP) performance. When transporting artificial gas and liquefied petroleum gas, the adverse effects of other components in the gas (such as aromatic hydrocarbons and condensate) on the performance of the pipes at certain concentrations should be considered.
