Scope

This standard specifies the technical requirements for the hardware, system software, application functions, data, packaging and storage, and acceptance testing of the distributed control system (DCS) in thermal power plants.
This standard applies to the distributed control system (DCS) of new or modified and expanded thermal power plants with a single unit capacity of 300 MW or more. The DCS of units with other capacities can be implemented with reference to this standard.
