YY 1090-2009 Ultrasonic physiotherapy equipment

Scope

This standard specifies the terms and definitions, requirements, test methods, and inspection rules for ultrasound therapy equipment. This standard applies to ultrasound therapy equipment (hereinafter referred to as "equipment") with a frequency range of 0.5 MHz to 5 MHz, which generates continuous or quasi-continuous ultrasound energy by a flat circular ultrasound transducer. This standard does not apply to equipment with an effective sound intensity greater than 3 W/cm 2 or equipment that uses focused ultrasound waves.
