Scope

This part of GB/T 6185 specifies the type and dimensions, technical requirements, and marking of fine-tooth Type 2 all-metal hexagonal lock nuts.
This part is applicable to Type 2 all-metal hexagonal lock nuts with a nominal thread diameter of D=8 mm to 36 mm, fine-tooth threads, and performance grades of Class 8, Class 10, and Class 12, as well as product grades of Class A and Class B. Class A is used for nuts with D≤16 mm; Class B is used for nuts with D>16 mm.
Note: Except for the dimensions of mw and hmax, these nuts are equivalent to those in GB/T 6176.
