Scope

This standard specifies the type, dimensions, technical requirements, and markings of fine-thread type 2 hexagonal nuts. This standard applies to type 2 hexagonal nuts with a nominal thread diameter of D=8 mm to 36 mm, performance grades of 8, 10, and 12, and product grades of A and B for fine-thread applications. Grade A is used for nuts with a diameter of D≤16 mm, while Grade B is used for nuts with a diameter of D>16 mm.
