Scope

This standard specifies the terms and definitions, classification and marking, technical requirements, test methods, inspection rules and marking, packaging, transportation, and storage requirements for fully drawn monofilament nylon 6.
The fully drawn monofilament nylon 6 referred to in this standard refers to the fully drawn monofilament nylon 6 produced by the high-speed spinning and drawing process in one step.
This standard applies to fully drawn monofilament nylon 6 with a linear density of 11.1 dtex to 44.4 dtex, a circular cross-section, a triangular or three-leaf shaped cross-section, and a glossy, semi-matte, or fully matte finish. It also applies to fully drawn monofilament nylon 6 in natural color that has not been twisted or subjected to pressure washing and heat setting. Other fully drawn monofilament nylon 6 products can be implemented in accordance with this standard.
