Scope

This standard specifies the technical requirements, test methods, and inspection rules for forged alloy steel work rolls used in cold rolling of metals. This standard applies to forged alloy steel cold rolling work rolls and intermediate rolls (hereinafter referred to as cold rolling rolls) used in cold rolling mills for metal plates (strips) and other materials. Cold rolling rolls manufactured by other methods may also be implemented in accordance with this standard.
