Basic Information
Scope
This document specifies an overview of vertical kneading machines, descriptions of related hazards, technical requirements, verification of measures, inspection rules, and usage information.
This document applies to vertical kneading machines (hereinafter referred to as kneading machines) equipped with rotating mixing barrels (hereinafter referred to as mixing barrels) with a capacity of 500 L ≥ capacity ≥ 5 L.
Note 1: These kneading machines are suitable for processing various materials, such as flour, sugar, fat, salt, water, and other materials, and are mainly used in the food and catering industries, such as restaurants, hotels, coffee shops, and bars.
Note 2: These kneading machines may also be used in food production plants and other industries (for example, the pharmaceutical industry, the chemical industry, and the printing industry). This document does not consider the relevant hazards involved in other industries.
The kneading machines referred to in this document do not include the following machines:
——Planetary mixers (EN 454);
——Continuous feeding machines;
——Mixers with fixed vertical mixing barrels;
——Experimental and test devices developed by manufacturers;
——Household appliances;
——Automatic loading and unloading devices.
