Scope

This part of GB/T 10183 specifies the tolerances for cranes and their tracks during installation and operation, as defined in GB/T 6974.1. The purpose of these requirements is to eliminate overloading caused by normal dimensional or geometrical deviations of the structure, thereby improving the operational safety of cranes and ensuring that all components reach their expected lifespan.
The tolerances specified in this part are all limit values. Elastic deformation caused by load effects is not included. To meet the predetermined performance requirements, it is necessary to consider these elastic deformations at the design stage using other design criteria.
The specific tolerance values for specific types of cranes are specified in other parts of GB/T 10183.
