GB/T 1149.4-2008 Internal combustion engines—Piston rings—Part 4:Quality requirements
Basic Information
Scope
This part of GB/T 1149 specifies the quality requirements that can be defined but are not usually expressed in the technical requirements of drawings. This part applies to the following piston rings: - Integral cast iron or steel compression rings; - Combined piston rings (oil rings), composed of cast iron parts and spring parts; - Integral steel oil rings and steel strip combined oil rings, namely steel strip oil rings and oil rings composed of scrapers and liner rings. This part specifies the limit values of some quality characteristics specified in the inspection methods (included in GB/T 1149.5), and also specifies the quality characteristics for which there are no recognized quantitative detection methods. These characteristics do not need to be magnified, and can be checked with normal vision (or wearing corrective glasses). These features (surface defects) are supplementary to the tolerance standards of ring height, radial thickness, and closed gap. This part does not specify the acceptable quality level (AQL). If necessary, the supplier and the buyer shall jointly agree on it in accordance with the provisions of GB/T 2828.1. This part specifies the quality requirements for piston rings of reciprocating piston internal combustion engines and compressors operating under similar conditions, and applies to piston rings with a diameter of less than or equal to 200 mm.
