Scope

This part of GB/T 1149 specifies the basic dimensional characteristics of oil rings with piston ring models of S, G, D, and DV types. The conventional range of the ring height of oil rings is 2.5 mm to 8 mm, increasing in increments of 0.5 mm or 1.0 mm. Table 7 specifies the dimensions of oil rings currently used with an imperial ring height of 4.75 mm (3/16″). This part applies to oil rings for reciprocating internal combustion engines with a cylinder diameter of less than or equal to 200 mm.
