Scope

This standard specifies the terms and definitions, testing principles, testing devices, testing preparations, air tightness performance testing, water tightness performance testing, wind resistance performance testing, repeat air tightness performance testing, repeat water tightness performance testing, and testing reports for the air tightness, water tightness, and wind resistance performance of exterior doors and windows in buildings.
This standard is applicable to the laboratory testing of the air tightness, water tightness, and wind resistance performance of exterior doors and windows in buildings. The testing objects are limited to doors and windows or doors and windows including frames, and do not involve the sealing areas between them and other structures such as building walls.
