Scope

Scope: This standard specifies the terminology and definitions of the edible-medicinal homologous black-skinned chicken-mushroom, the quality requirements for harvesting, the harvesting methods, primary processing (root trimming), packaging materials, and the use of the edible-medicinal homologous logo in traceability and certification. This protocol applies to all regions in China where edible-medicinal homologous black-skinned chicken-mushrooms are cultivated. Main technical content: When the stem of the black-skinned chicken-mushroom fruiting body reaches 6-7 cm in length, it meets the harvesting standard. During harvesting, the black-skinned chicken-mushrooms should not have yellow heads, insect bites, deformed stem or cap, be particularly thick, large, or long, and should not be infected by other fungi. After harvesting, the fresh black-skinned chicken-mushrooms should be processed by trimming the roots, which means trimming the roots near the ground and soil into a conical shape. The roots should be white and free from pollution and can then be sold. The tools used during harvesting should be clean and free from pollution, and the packaging materials should be neat, sturdy, breathable, free from pollution, and odorless. They should comply with the NY/T 658-2015 General Guidelines for Green Food Packaging.
