Scope
This standard specifies the terms and definitions for the determination of reducing sugars and non-reducing sugars, as well as the principles, reagents, instruments, and tools of the two determination methods, the operating steps, the calculation of results, and the repeatability.
This standard is applicable to the determination of the content of reducing sugars and non-reducing sugars in commercial grain. Among them, the potassium ferricyanide method is mainly suitable for the determination of wheat flour.
