Scope

This standard specifies the terms and definitions, grade designation methods, order content, dimensions, shapes, weights, technical requirements, test methods, inspection rules, packaging, marking, and quality certificates for high-energy arc welding steel. This standard applies to low-alloy structural steel plates (hereinafter referred to as steel plates) with an arc energy value greater than 50 kJ/cm and a thickness of 6 mm to 100 mm, used for high-energy arc welding. Other steel plates suitable for high-energy arc welding processes may refer to this standard for implementation.
