Scope

This standard specifies the classification and marking, technical requirements, test methods, inspection rules, and marking, packaging, transportation, storage, quality certificates, and order forms (or contracts) of composite strips made from precious metals and their alloys.
This standard applies to composite strips used in high- and low-voltage electrical appliances, military, aerospace, electronics, communications, home appliances, automobiles, and other fields. These strips are made from precious metals and their alloys as the cladding material, and metals such as copper or copper alloys, and expansion alloys as the base material.
