Scope

This standard specifies the calibration principles, instruments, test systems, and procedures for the calibration of first-class standard solar cells used in aerospace applications by directly exposing them to sunlight on the ground. This standard is applicable to the calibration of first-class standard solar cells made of monocrystalline silicon and single-junction gallium arsenide used in aerospace applications, as well as corresponding first-class standard sub-solar cells of multi-junction gallium arsenide solar cells used in aerospace applications. The calibration of other types of standard solar cells used in aerospace applications and standard solar cells used on the ground can be carried out with reference to this standard.
