Scope
This standard specifies the method for determining the fiber content in a two-component mixture of polyphenylene sulfide fibers and other fibers after removing non-fiber substances by chemical analysis. This standard is applicable to two-component mixtures of polyphenylene sulfide fibers and protein fibers (wool, silk, etc.), cellulose fibers (cotton, flax, viscose fibers, etc.), acetate fibers, triacetate fibers, polylactic acid fibers, polyacrylonitrile fibers, certain modified polyacrylonitrile fibers, spandex, polyamide fibers, vinylon, polyester fibers, aramid 1313, aramid 1414, polyimide fibers, or polytetrafluoroethylene fibers.
