Scope
This standard specifies the terms and definitions, requirements, test methods, and markings for flexible endoscope cleaning and disinfection devices (hereinafter referred to as cleaning and disinfection devices), as well as user manuals, packaging, transportation, and storage. This standard applies to cleaning and disinfection devices that automatically clean and disinfect flexible endoscopes. This standard does not apply to the validation of the effectiveness of the endoscope cleaning and disinfection process, daily quality control requirements, or safety assessments within the scope of use risks.
