Scope

This document specifies the calculation method for the operating power required on the drive rollers of belt conveyors and the tension acting on the conveyor belts.
This document is applicable to general belt conveyors equipped with carrying rollers, which use fabric-core or steel-wire-core conveyor belts as the carrying and traction elements. It also applies to horizontal turning belt conveyors and round-tube belt conveyors. Other types of belt conveyors should refer to this document for implementation.
