Scope

This standard specifies the energy efficiency testing and comprehensive evaluation methods for industrial heat exchangers. This standard is applicable to industrial shell-and-tube heat exchangers, spiral plate heat exchangers, and plate heat exchangers. The term "heat exchanger" in this standard includes heat exchangers (without phase change), condensers (with phase change on the hot side and no phase change on the cold side), and evaporators (with phase change on the cold side and no phase change on the hot side). For heat exchangers that fall within the scope of supervision and regulation of the "Regulations on Safety Supervision of Special Equipment", the testing should comply with the relevant requirements of the "Regulations". Other industrial heat exchangers may refer to this standard for implementation.
