Scope

This standard specifies the terms and definitions, product identification, technical requirements, test methods, inspection rules, marking, packaging, transportation, and storage requirements for polyester staple fibers.
This standard applies to polyester staple fibers with a linear density of 1.33 dtex to 6.67 dtex, available in unbleached, semi-matte, and fully matte versions, with a circular cross-section and an average length of less than or equal to 110 mm, directly made into staple fibers. Other polyester staple fibers can be used as a reference for application.
