Scope

The boiler water treatment specified in these rules mainly refers to the measures taken to prevent boiler scaling and corrosion and ensure the quality of water and steam (including boiler cleaning). These rules apply to fixed pressure boilers (hereinafter referred to as "boilers") that use water as a medium, as stipulated in the "Regulations on Safety Supervision of Special Equipment". The production (including design, manufacturing, installation, modification, and repair, hereinafter the same) and use of boilers and water treatment systems (equipment), units engaged in boiler water treatment inspection and testing (hereinafter referred to as "inspection units"), manufacturers of boiler water treatment agents and resins, boiler house design units, boiler water treatment service units, and boiler chemical cleaning units shall implement these rules. Boiler water treatment equipment and agents imported or manufactured in China in accordance with foreign norms and standards and used domestically shall also comply with these rules.
