Scope

This standard specifies the requirements, measurement methods, and content of test reports for the performance testing of water treatment equipment such as ion exchange equipment, filtration equipment, and thermal deaerators.
This standard applies to the performance testing of the aforementioned water treatment equipment products during appraisal trials, as well as during commissioning and acceptance after new installation or technical modification of existing equipment. It also applies to the performance testing of in-use water treatment equipment for economic evaluation purposes.
