GB/T 17285-2009 Marking of electrical equipment with ratings related to electrical supply—Safety requirements
Basic Information
Scope
This standard specifies the minimum requirements (see Note 1) and general rules for marking the power supply rating and other related characteristics of electrical equipment (see Note 2), in order to correctly and safely select and install electrical equipment connected to any power supply.
The purpose of this standard is to:
—— Provide general requirements for marking the relevant characteristics of any power supply system, such as voltage, current, frequency, and power;
—— Provide a unified method for marking the electrical ratings of products in various product standards.
This basic safety standard can be generally applied by various related product standards when specifying the minimum requirements for marking the ratings of electrical equipment, accessories, and components connected to any power supply. Various related product standards may stipulate some supplementary requirements for the marking of power supply characteristics.
Note 1: The definition of electrical equipment is given in GB/T 2900.71.
Note 2: For further marking, see GB/T 20000.4 [1] 1).
