Scope

This standard specifies the classification and naming, requirements, test methods, inspection rules, marking, packaging, transportation, and storage of acrylonitrile-butadiene-styrene (ABS) resins (hereinafter referred to as ABS resins). This standard applies to ABS resins composed of a styrene and acrylonitrile copolymer as the continuous phase and a polybutadiene and a certain amount of other components as the dispersed phase. This standard does not apply to flame-retardant, reinforced, or other modified ABS resins.
