Scope

This standard specifies the terms and definitions, classification and models, materials, structures, and safety devices of gas volume-type water heaters (hereinafter referred to as water heaters), performance requirements, test methods, inspection rules, marking and instructions, packaging, transportation, and storage.
This standard applies to gas volume-type water heaters with a rated heat load of less than 100 kW and a rated volume of less than 500 L.
The gas referred to in this standard is artificial gas, natural gas, and liquefied petroleum gas as specified in GB/T 13611.
