Scope

This standard specifies the sampling and high-performance liquid chromatography (HPLC) methods for the detection of 3-methylquinoxaline 2-carboxylic acid (MQCA) residues in edible tissues of pigs, chickens, and fish. This standard is applicable to the quantitative detection of MQCA residues in the muscles and livers of pigs and chickens, as well as in the muscles of fish.
