Scope

This standard specifies the terms and definitions, structural types, technical requirements, test methods, inspection rules, marking, supply requirements, and quality assurance documents for flexible-sealed light-duty gate valves used in water supply systems (hereinafter referred to as "gate valves"). This standard applies to flexible-sealed light-duty gate valves made of nodular cast iron. The scope of application includes nominal pressure not exceeding PN 16; the medium is water, with a water temperature range of 1 ℃ to 80 ℃; the medium flow rate when the valve is fully open does not exceed 4.9 m/s; and rod-operated gate valves with nominal sizes of DN 50 to DN 1200 and lever-operated gate valves with nominal sizes of DN 50 to DN 600.
