Scope

This standard specifies the design principles and basic requirements for the selection of automation instruments in the petrochemical industry. This standard applies to the selection and design of automation instruments for new construction, expansion, and renovation projects of petrochemical plants and factories that produce fuels and chemical products from coal. This standard does not apply to laboratory analytical instruments, instruments in maintenance workshops, and portable instruments.
