Scope

This standard specifies the terms and definitions, classification and labeling, technical requirements, test methods, inspection rules, re-inspection rules, marking, packaging, transportation, and storage requirements for acrylic fiber tow.
This standard applies to natural color tow products made from acrylic fiber with a nominal linear density of 1.33 dtex to 6.67 dtex. Other acrylic fiber tow products can be used as a reference for this standard.
This standard does not apply to tow products made from a mixture of acrylic fiber and other fibers.
