Scope

1.1 This part of GB/T 20935 introduces a method of detecting discontinuities (such as cracks, fissures, folds, cold seams, delamination, leakage, and non-fusion) on the surface of materials using electromagnetic ultrasonic transducer technology. This method can also sensitively detect near-surface defects and discontinuities within the Rayleigh wave wavelength range from the surface. 1.2 This part introduces a non-contact detection technology that uses electromagnetic fields to generate ultrasonic waves in materials.
