CJJ 123-2008 Technical specification for water supply engineering for town and village

Scope

In order to standardize the design, construction, quality acceptance, and operation management of water supply projects in towns and villages in China, ensure the quality of the projects, guarantee the safety of drinking water, and achieve technical advancement, economic rationality, and convenient management, these regulations are formulated. These regulations apply to permanent outdoor water supply projects in towns and villages with a water supply scale of no more than 5,000 m3/day. Water supply projects in towns and villages shall comply with the overall planning of towns and villages, and shall be reasonably laid out, conserve land, adapt to local conditions, and proceed within one's means, so as to achieve the unity of economic benefits, social benefits, and environmental benefits. The selection of water sources for drinking water in towns and villages shall comply with the requirements of local water resources planning and management, and shall rationally utilize water resources, effectively protect water resources, and ensure the sustainable utilization of water resources. Water supply in towns and villages shall give priority to the following standards: - GB/T 2458: General Technical Requirements for Water Supply Projects in Urban and Rural Areas - HG/T 2458: General Technical Requirements for Water Supply Projects in Urban and Rural Areas - Food Hygiene Law of the People's Republic of China (1995)
