Scope

This part of GB/T 17394 specifies the inspection and calibration methods for the Leeb hardness testers (hereinafter referred to as hardness testers) used in the Leeb hardness test.
This part is applicable to the direct inspection method for testing the basic functions of hardness testers and the indirect inspection method for comprehensive inspection of hardness testers. The indirect inspection method can be used independently for regular periodic inspections of hardness testers in use.
This part is applicable to Leeb hardness testers equipped with impact devices of types D, DC, S, E, D+15, DL, C, and G.
