Scope

This part of GB/T 889 specifies the type sizes, technical requirements, and markings of Type 1 non-metallic insert hexagonal lock nuts. This part is applicable to Type 1 non-metallic insert hexagonal lock nuts with thread sizes from M3 to M36, performance grades of Level 5, Level 8, and Level 10, and product grades of Class A and Class B. Class A is used for nuts with a diameter of D ≤ 16 mm; Class B is used for nuts with a diameter of D > 16 mm. Note: This nut is equivalent to GB/T 6170 plus the effective torque section.
