Scope

Scope: This document specifies the terms and definitions, classification, quality requirements, inspection methods, inspection rules, labeling, packaging, storage and transportation, and traceability information requirements for Huai'an rice. This document applies to the purchase, processing, and sale of rice processed from Japonica and Indica rice grains grown in the Huai'an City area, but does not apply to rice added with additives. Main technical content: 1. Terms and definitions: In addition to the terms and definitions defined in GB/T 1354 and GB/T 17891, the following terms and definitions also apply to this document. For convenience, some terms and definitions from GB/T 1354 and GB/T 17891 are repeated below. 1.1 Huai'an rice: Rice processed from rice grains meeting the requirements of T/HLX001.4 and produced in accordance with the procedures specified in T/HLX001.2. 1.2 Milling degree: The degree of residual rice embryo and residual skin on the surface and back groove of rice grains after processing. 1.3 Imperfect kernels: Unripe or damaged rice kernels that still have edible value, including: - Unripe kernels: Rice kernels that are not fully mature and have a completely powdery appearance. - Insect-damaged kernels: Rice kernels that have been eaten by insects. - Diseased kernels: Rice kernels with disease spots on the surface. - Moldy kernels: Rice kernels with mold spots on the surface. - Brown rice kernels: Rice kernels that have not been completely peeled. 1.4 Extraneous matter: Substances other than rice kernels, including organic impurities and inorganic impurities. 1.4.1 Organic impurities: Including rice grains, rice husks, rice bran, bran powder, straw, husked barnyard grass kernels, and other plant-derived impurities, as well as insect or insect tissue-derived impurities. 1.4.2 Inorganic impurities: Including soil, sand, bricks, tiles, and other inorganic substances. 1.5 Eating quality: The comprehensive score value of the smell, appearance, pala
